Does Your Apartment Need Some Therapy?

Well, maybe it’s not just your apartment ...

If we improve the strata space we live in, will our strata life [and others’] be better? I think so, and know it certainly can’t be worse.

Maybe your apartment needs a therapist to help with its self-actualisation, managing stress, and sense of worth. Well, I really mean do you and your apartment need some therapy? Not for your mind [at least directly] but for the living space.

This article and associated help column in the Washington Post about self-proclaimed apartment therapist, Maxwell Ryan, highlights how improving your [small] apartment living space to make homes more beautiful, organized and healthy is a valuable exercise.

After all, being happy in your strata home is good for you and good for other strata stakeholders that have to deal with you.

But, it’s down to strata residents to put the effort in to make themselves happier by living in nicer and healthier surroundings [not the strata scheme] and it’s not always more expensive than the alternative.

And, it occurs to me that there’s plenty of opportunities for professionals like interior designers, health consultants, life coaches, etc to offer strata owners and residents help with solutions. So, where are they in the strata space?

Maxwell’s website apartmenttherapy.com is a resource-rich place to find ideas and inspiration, especially for smaller spaces. I encourage you to explore it.

And, Maxwell has strata street cred since he [like me] lives in an apartment himself.
